BRS - A Complete Boiler System Service Company

Servicing Industrial Firetube and Watertube Boilers from a total system approach since 1977

No project is beyond what BRS can provide, here our some of our typical projects:

General Motors Lordstown - Supply complete package boiler plant, consisting of four 1200 HP high pressure Johnston boilers, a 160,000 Lb/Hr DA tank, 6,000 gallon condensate receiver with feed water and condensate pumps, along with all level and flow control valves, PLC control, network interface to GM Internet system including data acquisition and control to make a complete operating plant.

General Motors San Louise Potosi, Mexico - BRS was named as a preferred vendor to GM of United States for the successful completion of the Lordstown plant project.  BRS has since became the successful bidder to supply Johnston Boiler Hot Water Generators to GM's new mid-sized auto assembly plant for the Mexican auto market.  The firetube Hot Water Generators are to supply 12,000,000 BTU/Hr each guaranteed to produce at an elevation of 6,090 feet above sea level.  Hot Water Generator controls are PLC based for both Burner Management and Combustion Control and interface with GM Internet for data acquisition and control.

PPG Industries - BRS takes pride in our long term sales and service relationships with our customers.  PPG Resin and Paint Plant is such a relationship.  In 1984 BRS was involved in the sale of three Vapor 5903 Circulatic boilers for a major plant expansion.  The three boilers were added to a exiting Vapor Circulatic Boiler and two Clayton boilers.  In 1997 we added two more Vapor 5905 Circulatic Boilers to replace the aging Clayton Boilers. BRS has serviced the resin plant boiler house since 1984 and has added the Cleaver Brooks Hot water paint plant boiler house making us the sole supplier to PPG Resin and Paint Plant for all their boiler room requirements.  BRS supplies total service including, combustion calibration, boiler cleaning, burner control safety operation checks, mechanical checks to prove fuel train operation and proper seal tight closure.

Allegheny Energy - Mitchell Power Station is a 800 HP auxiliary steam plant that must be ready at a moments notice.  BRS supplies 24/7 emergency service to assure the plant is ready if the power plant utility power boilers go down.

University of Pittsburgh - As an open bidder BRS supplied a custom built blowdown receiver tank to replace an existing tank.  The replacement tank was built to a 1949 drawing supplied by the U-Park management company.  The tank included inlets for four blowdown lines, overflow line, a vent exhaust head, pump down control, tank temperature gage, and level gage.  During construction an original design flaw was found allowing water to be carried over with vented steam.  The flaw was corrected without extra cost to the customer.

West Allegheny School District - BRS services to the school include emergency service and supplemental services to the school's maintenance to solve persistent system problems in each of their schools.

Train Wreck - Provided emergency steam boiler rental and power generation equipment to transfer hazardous material from derailed tanker cars at site of derailment.  The cars were severely damaged requiring field repair of the car's heating coils.  The repairs and transfer were completed next to live tracks requiring the stickiest safety requirements under harsh weather conditions.  After supplying several such emergency rentals , most boiler steam rentals are easy. BRS can supply rental steam plants up 30,000 Lbs/Hr.

Turner Dairy - Supplying service to 125 HP Johnston high pressure boiler and a Continental boiler used for the production of dairy products.

Bechtel Bettis Atomic Power Research Center - Mr.Denk has serviced the Bechtel Bettis plant since 1973.  He was involved since construction of the Vapor High Pressure Hot Water Generator plant used to simulate the reactors of Navy Submarines.  He successfully serviced the plant from construction to closure of the Navy project in 2004 as the authorized Vapor service representative.  The project led to becoming the successful bidder for plant-wide boiler service for all firetube heating boilers since 1981.  Services also provided to Naval Reactor through Bechtel (formally Westinghouse) was to survey all reactor facilities throughout the United States for high pressure boilers, used for heating, safety and code requirements.
